The short version VPeaN currently stores what is needed to run accounts, device records, and support. The service is being designed not to record browsing history, DNS queries, traffic contents, or destinations. We will not use a “no logs” slogan until implementation and operations support exact wording.
Overview
This privacy policy explains what information VPeaN collects through this website and early-access account area, why it is used, and the choices available to you. VPeaN is currently pre-launch: payments and general VPN access are not enabled.
Information we collect
Account information
We store your email address, display name, a securely hashed password, acceptance timestamps for our policies, account status, and account creation and last-login times.
Device information
We store device names, platform types, status, configuration timestamps, and, when provisioning is introduced, WireGuard public keys and assigned tunnel addresses. VPeaN should never receive or store your WireGuard private key.
Support information
We store the email address, topic, subject, message, status, and timestamps associated with support requests. Do not send passwords, private keys, card details, or full VPN configuration files.
Operational web data
The web server and Cloudflare may process basic request information needed to deliver and protect the website. We are still defining a minimal retention schedule and will publish it before paid beta.
The VPN privacy boundary
The intended architecture separates customer identity and billing from the VPN data path. The central control system needs to know that an account is entitled to a device and that a public key is allowed. A VPN node should only need the public key, tunnel address, and authorisation state.
VPeaN is designed not to record browsing history, DNS queries, traffic contents, or destination addresses. This is a design commitment, not yet a claim about a generally available production service.
How we use information
- To create and secure your account.
- To enforce device and future plan limits.
- To answer support requests and recover account access.
- To operate, secure, diagnose, and improve the service.
- To comply with lawful obligations and respond to abuse reports.
We do not sell your personal information or use account data to build advertising profiles.
Retention
Account and subscription records are kept while an account is active and for a limited period after closure where needed for security, disputes, or legal obligations. Revoked device and support records are retained only as long as operationally necessary. Exact periods will be documented before paid beta.
Your choices and rights
You may ask to access, correct, export, or delete personal information associated with your account, subject to legal and security exceptions. You can also opt out of optional product email. Contact us through the support page while dedicated privacy email routing is being established.
Security
Passwords are stored as modern password hashes, sessions use secure cookies, forms use anti-forgery protection, and database credentials are kept outside the public website directory. No system is perfectly secure; we will publish a security contact before public beta.
